Photobiomodulation

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a light therapy that uses red and near infra-red light to induce photochemical reactions in the body on the molecular and cellular levels. Classs IV medical laser products combine wavelengths, pulsing and power to achieve unparalleled therapeutic effects including reduction in pain, accelerated cellular recovery and increased circulation.

Cellular Effects

During laser therapy, infrared laser light interacts with tissues at the cellular level increasing metabolic activity within the cell. By improving the transport of nutrients across the cell membrane, the increased production of cellular energy (ATP) is stimulated. The cascade of beneficial effects that follows includes increased cellular function and faster recovery time.

Therapeutic Effects

During each treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal environment that reduces muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, the function is restored and pain is relieved.

Pain Reduction

Our state-of-the-art Class IV therapy lasers deliver targeted, non-invasive treatment, providing swift pain relief for patients suffering from acute or chronic pain, enabling them to regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

ACCELERATED CELLULAR Recovery

Our lasers promote accelerated cellular recovery by stimulating cell regeneration at the molecular level, expediting recovery and minimizing downtime for patients, ensuring faster recovery for a wide range of injuries and post-operative recovery.

Increased circulation

With our advanced laser therapy devices, medical professionals can improve blood flow and oxygenation to affected areas, facilitating nutrient delivery and waste removal, thereby potentially enhancing tissue vitality and reducing recovery time.

Targeted Immune response

Our Class IV therapy lasers efficiently target tissues undergoing an immune response, supporting the body's natural recovery processes and assisting it in navigating the immune process more effectively. This contributes to alleviating discomfort and promoting a faster patient recovery.

Understanding Wavelengths

Why Is Power Important?

Wavelengths determine a therapeutic laser’s depth of penetration and power determines the dosage delivered to depth in tissues. Power (Watts) is the rate of energy delivery and energy is measured in Joules (1 Watt = 1 Joule per second). Higher power at the surface will deliver more energy to the desired depth.

650 nm

Targets superficial receptors
  • Accelerates cellular recovery

  • Shortens recovery time

810 nm

Targets mitochondria
  • Increases conversion of O2 to ATP
  • Accelerates cellular metabolism
  • Deepest tissue penetration

915 nm

Targets hemoglobin
  • Doubles O2 delivery to tissues
  • Improves pain relief
  • Improves recovery benefits

980 nm

Targets water in blood
  • Targets circulation
  • Pain relief
  • Faster recovery

The Importance Of Laser Pulsing

Studies prove that pulse frequencies elicit different physiological responses and that different tissue types (muscle, connective tissue, bone, etc.) respond better to different pulse frequencies. Class IV medical lasers use continuous wave and various pulse frequencies in combination with four therapeutic wavelengths to optimize clinical outcomes.

How Does Intense Super Pulse(ISP) Enhance Laser Therapy?

Lasers operating in super pulse mode deliver bursts of high peak power for a short period of time. Our Intense Super Pulse (ISP) mode delivers a peak of 30W of laser energy to deeper tissues mitigating superficial heat build-up.
