Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) 

General Purpose of Position: As an Area Sales Manager at Summus Medical Laser, you will play a pivotal role on our sales team by supporting the development and execution of sales strategies to drive revenue and marketing penetration. You will be responsible for the entire sales process, including top-of-funnel activity, to drive capital sales. This is a hunter role with high output, designed to learn the keys to success in the medical laser industry and contribute to our mission of improving healthcare through innovative laser technology.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify and research potential clients, including healthcare facilities, medical practitioners, and distributors.
  • Generate leads through market research, cold calling, and networking.
  • Maintain a database of qualified leads and update CRM systems regularly.
  • Responsible for the entire sales process, from prospecting through closing, including customer onboarding and training support.
  • Execute in-person product demonstrations and prepare sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
  • Work with a Business Development Representative to generate and cultivate leads into demonstration opportunities.
  • Support the commercial team by attending trade shows and medical education events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Address customer inquiries and provide timely and accurate information.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive products, and market developments.
  • Provide feedback on market dynamics and customer needs to the commercial team.
  • Prepare and maintain regular sales reports, including sales activity, leads generated, and sales pipeline updates.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years sales/B2B experience.
  • Minimum 2 years capital sales experience.
  • Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to quickly build relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player with a willingness to travel on a regular basis.

You will work closely with Area Sales Managers to assist with top-of-funnel activity to drive capital sales. This is a hunter role with high output, designed to learn the keys to success in the medical laser industry and contribute to our mission of improving healthcare through innovative laser technology.

Requirements:

Offerings:
BDR Compensation Plan 2024
  • Base Salary- $60,000 annually. Paid semi-monthly on the 1st and 15th
  • Variable Commissions: $40,000 annually at 100% to quota (Quota is 130 per 12mos)
  • Monthly Commission Payouts: *Based on qualified meeting attended by an ASM
    1. 1-15 will pay $222 each
    2. 16-20 will pay $250 each
    3. 21+ will pay $300
  • Qtrly Bonus Opportunity: *Based on # of Deals Closed Won for assigned ASMs
  • $250 for each deal closed within the calendar quarter per assigned ASM territory.
  • *Deals are “closed/won” upon successful payment and/or funding by an approved lender.
